Team Coach
Carol has over 25 years experience teaching and coaching. She began coaching when her children got involved and continues because of her love of the sport. She enjoys seeing the children grow and learn new skills, eventually putting together all that has been taught. Besides coaching the competitive gymnastics teams she teaches preschool, recreational and tumbling classes.
She is married to Rex Hester and has two children, Rob and Christy.
Carol holds current USA Gymnastics Safety Certification and has completed Community CPR.

Owner / Optional Gymnastics Team Director / Level 7 – 10 Coach
Rob has coached gymnastics and cheer for over 20 years. Before he began coaching Rob competed for Region 4 as a Class II gymnast where he won various state titles. His cheer experience comes from two years at Johnson County Community College in Kansas and a short time at the University of Cincinnati. Rob has been on the staff at the Karolyi, Woodward and Lake Owen Summer Gymnastics Camps and has coached at various Region 5 Training Camps. He has worked with numerous girls who have gone on to either college level gymnastics or become USA Elites.
Rob holds current USA Gymnastics Safety Certification and has completed Community CPR training.

Level 7 to Level 10 Coach
Christy’s experience comes from both being a competitive gymnast and more than ten years of coaching classroom and competitive teams. After leaving club gymnastics, she competed for Lakota High School and was recently inducted into the Lakota Sports Hall of Fame. Christy graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor Degree in Exercise Physiology. While in college and after graduation she coached the Lakota West High School Gymnastics team through many successful seasons. You can catch Christy working with all ages, from our smallest (2 year olds) to our Level 10 competitive gymnasts. Christy is also Safety Certified by USA Gymnastics and has completed Community CPR training.

Nancy has been with Flip n Twist since March of 2002 when her daughter became a member of the competitive gymnastics team. Currently, you can find Nancy working behind the scenes on many aspects of the gym. If you ever have any questions don’t hesitate to ask her. If she doesn’t know the answer, she’ll gladly find it.

Mikki has been coaching gymnastics at Flip n Twist for 4 years but has 9 years experience. You can catch her working at the front desk, teaching preschool and recreational classes as well as coaching our Competitive Training Team. Mikki coaches because she loves the sport and enjoys seeing the excitement of the students when they get a new skill. Mikki is safety certified by USA Gymnastics.

Teri has worked for Flip n Twist since February of 2002. She is currently responsible for accounting and payroll functions. You can also find Teri answering the phones and helping at the front desk occasionally. Teri says that whatever it takes to make Flip n Twist better is her goal. If you have any questions, please ask. If she doesn’t know the answer she’ll try to find it for you!

Joey came to Flip n Twist in March 2006 with experience as a cheerleader. Joey attends the University of Cincinnati where he also spent time on their cheer squad. He is majoring in early childhood education with a minor in deaf studies. He is currently teaching stunting classes and tumbling classes.

Jason has four years experience in the gym, two of which have been with Flip n Twist. During this time he has taught preschool gymnastics, recreational gymnastics and tumbling classes. Besides teaching classes, he has also run over 200 birthday parties at the gym in the last year. When he isn't at the gym Jason is working construction and is a part-time firefighter for the West Chester Fire Department. Jason holds current safety certification from USA Gymnastics.

Shelley has worked the front desk helping our daytime customers since March 2005. Lately, you can catch her working the evenings while one of her daughters is practicing with our Training Team. She maintains the registration and attendance for our classroom program and helps with any questions you might have.

Debbie has been coaching/teaching gymnastics for more than 10 years, two of which have been with Flip n Twist. She says that she has a love of the sport and working with children. Her goal is to help children become more confident and develop good self-esteem. You will find Debbie teaching preschool classes, level 3 advanced classes and coaching the Level 4 and 5 competitive teams.

Dawn began working for Flip n Twist in May of 2005 when she started coaching our Competitive Training Team and she says that she has enjoyed every minute. She has eight years experience coaching competitive gymnastics and adds to that her 10 years as a competitive gymnast. She competed through level 9. When Dawn isn’t coaching she is either teaching at Fairfield High School or busy with her family, husband Kevin, son Brett and daughter Courtney. Besides gymnastics, she loves to go camping, swimming and
work out.
